Georgia Baseball Ranked No. 9 in Preseason Poll Ahead of 2025 Season

Georgia’s baseball team has received significant recognition in the USA Today Coaches Preseason Poll, securing the No. 9 ranking as they prepare for the 2025 season. Building on last season’s impressive 43-17 record, the Bulldogs successfully hosted a Super Regional in Athens but fell short against NC State, missing out on the College Baseball World Series by a single game.

As the Bulldogs gear up for the upcoming season, they will need to fill the gap left by celebrated third baseman Charlie Condon, who was selected third overall in the MLB Draft by the Colorado Rockies. However, Georgia boasts strong returning talent, including preseason All-Americans Tre Phelps and Kolten Smith, who are expected to be central figures in their lineup and pitching rotation.

In addition, the Bulldogs have bolstered their roster with a competitive recruiting class, ranked 27th overall in the Perfect Game College Recruit Rankings. Notably, five recruits are included among the top 300 players nationally, demonstrating Georgia’s commitment to maintaining a robust team for the season ahead.
