Key announcements included a partnership with Telefónica for naming rights during the 2025 League of Legends European Championship (LEC), marking MAD Lions’ transition to Movistar KOI. This partnership will also encompass Valorant Champions Tour EMEA and Superliga competitions, alongside an updated logo that will debut on team jerseys and a new streetwear line in 2025.
Furthermore, OverActive Media announced that the inaugural Call of Duty Major, hosted by Toronto Ultra, is set for January 30 to February 2, 2025, in Madrid’s Caja Mágica. The organization also plans to establish a Fortnite team, complete with a custom-branded map, and indicated intentions to expand into the Mexican market, although further details on this expansion were not disclosed. In a separate announcement, OverActive Media declared its exit from Overwatch 2 esports and will discontinue the Toronto Defiant brand.
